My feet usually float somewhere between the 9 and 10 size mark, and the size 10 Freerider EPS fit true to size. Like most shoes from Five Ten, the Freerider EPS has a bike shop escondido wide toe box, but by no means five ten freeriders it feel bulky or sloppy on my narrow feet. Trial biking did not stop pedaling soon enough prior to the jump, so my pedals were not level when I went airborne.
The only thing I would change about them would be to give the Freeriders a sole that's a little stiffer. And that one factor has me considering the Contacts or whatever replaces them by the time I need to replace my shoes for my next pair. Originally Posted five ten freeriders TSpice.

My wife is one of them. She's been riding for 10 years and still has no desire to use clipless pedals.
She jumped on the women's Freeriders when they were offered vp-001 spring and has been thrilled with them. Other freetiders like myself don't really care that much about five ten freeriders incremental improvements in efficiency offered by clipless pedals.
And really, the differences are small. Sure, Five ten freeriders can tell the difference. I rode clipless pedals for about 15 years on the mtb before installing platforms. I just don't care.
My reasons for riding don't mean that those subtle differences make my rides any env bikes enjoyable or rewarding.
Frankly, wearing flats makes my rides five ten freeriders enjoyable. A traditional mtb clipless shoe just isn't comfortable for me. My feet are different fox bike pants that one foot is always uncomfortable. I'd have to buy TWO pairs of them, and wear a different size on each foot, in order to get a semblance five ten freeriders comfort, and that's not gonna happen.
The more casual-styled clipless shoes offer the comfort, but five ten freeriders the soles are more flexy, they don't offer the performance of their stiffer-soled counterparts. I don't really find them worth it.
I'd rather just use platform pedals.
Then five ten freeriders the style of riding that I do. I like teen be comfortable when I have to get off and hike. Sometimes I'll leave the bike along the trail and hike out along a spur trail often a hiking-only path.
Sometimes I'll go ride a trail that has a long hike-a-bike.
I rode one trail teen this year where the hike-a-bike was more or less 2 miles long. There were short sections where I could ride through, but it was mostly hiking. Steep ledges, super gnarly stuff that I five ten freeriders ride. Further, I think it's a really good idea for beginners and casual riders to start good road bikes on platform pedals with flats.
The OP seems to fit at least the casual portion of that. Maybe the beginner, too, but I five ten freeriders know how well he rides.
They're a lot less intimidating freefiders clipless pedals are and performance select gloves learning curve associated with them. You hen always change pedals later, or switch back and forth depending on what you're doing.
Five ten freeriders only wrong way to do it is to pressure a rider to use five ten freeriders or another if they're not comfortable. I see the bike shops that try to tell beginners that they have to use clipless pedals to improve their riding. I work at one. There are many others in town that treat platforms the same way. I've been pressuring my coworkers and my supervisors and the shop owner otherwise for years.
But that one pinned platform pedal the shop does carry, I sell more of them than anything else. But then again, five ten freeriders primarily a road shop. All of the employees who work there also ride mtb's.
But I'm the teh one who uses platform pedals. I'm seeing more and more mtb's tive into the shop with nicer platform freerisers on them.
Pedals that those customers have purchased elsewhere. There's not a 5. A large city, as a matter of fact. I haven't 27.5 bike frames a single shop stocking any sort of platform-only flat shoe, either. And I know several brands that ARE represented by shops in this city, including the one where I work offer such freeeiders.
In fact one of the product reps who regularly visits happens to be the regional rep for 5. Even auto parts stores ann arbor hasn't five ten freeriders able to convince the owner of the shop to carry the shoes So it's not like it would be difficult for any shop in town to carry them. The cultural momentum of clipless pedals here is just that strong.
